I disagree. Detailing spray is better, unless you have extemely 'soft' water (low mineral count; which we don't around here). Use it liberally when clay barring.

I like Griot's Garage detailing spray myself, but Meguiars products are excellent, and more readily available. I use detailing spray almost daily after my commute/weekend country drive.

I *love* 3M's interior detailer. It's simply the best there is.

Thats what I use. Certainly zero complaints.

You can get clay bars anywhere. I know I've seen them at WalMart sold by themselves.

As you would expect, I tend to clay & polish the front end far more often then the rest of the vehicle, as it suffers 'the slings and arrows .....'

Run your hand over the finish after washing and you'll readily know what still needs clay barring.

WoW .. !! The Clay bar kit from Meguiars really does work! lol.. yes i did the whole car exept the front bumper because it is dark already...

I must say though that all the small black dots have dispeared completely and my paint is glass smoooth!!!

One more question.. Would i be able to use that clay bar on my wheels ? .. 3 out of 4 of my wheels have the same black dots (not that obvious but visible) as my paint coat...
