I used to use these Black Magic wheel wipes (easily found at AutoZone) to clean wheels. They were good for an apt dweller: just wipe down the wheels. Usually took 1-2 wipes per wheel, and usually did a good job of cleaning the wheels. No hose required.

I can't find those things anymore. What can I do for cleaning wheels now that's easy? I have a hose now, so I can try those spray-n-hose products, but I am skeptical that they will actually get all the brake dust off. I almost always have to wipe.
