I used the NT stuff and it really sucks on the new clear coats. Very streaky. Go with carnuba. I've had good success Meguires cleaner wax. Goes on and off easier than a paste and it looks way better than the polymer crap. For a new car you shouldn't have to do more.

For an old beater, bring out the cutters. Nice job Alt.

I'm currently using Nxt tech wax sealant with 3 coats of Collinite 845 IW (it's a durable carnauba). So far I really like the combination (NXT adds the depth and gloss, 845 adds the shine and protection).

a review of the wax on autopia:

wax mfg homepage:

The bottle runs about $16.

Collinite is TOUGH. It's a great carnuba for protection.

Meguiars Quick Detailer with the water repellant. You've got to try it to appreciate how good it works. They've got some NXT with the water repellant in it comming out too.

This discussion makes me want to go out and wax my ride.

For the most part, I'm a carnuba man. However, I like to mix in synthetics as well. I used Turtle Wax Ice on my BB this summer, and liked the results. It was pretty tough to take off unless it was sitting in the sun. I haven't tried it this winter yet.

Here are some pics of my recently washed and waxed car. I used Meguiar's NXT synthetic sealant followed by 3 coats of Collinite 845 IW carnauba wax.
