3 Month Old Zaino application is crapping out
Never used Zaino until then, on my new RX-8. Put 3 coats during the 1st application 3-1/2 months ago, and 2 more coats 3 months ago. Was not planning on having to add any more until 6 months in, but...
After washing it with Zaino's car wash every Saturday, the appearance is getting dull, the feel is not slick, and water is not beading like it used to.
Can't say I'm overly impressed with how long it didn't last. Is this length of time typical?

Sorry to hear that rxeightr. This is the first time I've used Zaino, too, but so far so good. I'm 2 1/2 months in, and the water still beads and the car looks great.
Is it possible you're washing it too much? I mean, I'm not criticizing cause I'd wash mine every week too, if I wasn't so lazy, but that's probably the only difference between yours and mine. (I'm assuming you clayed yours, before the Zaino application.) I'd guess I wash mine on average every other week.
Maybe very frequent washing wears it off quicker??

You should EASILY get 6 months out of Zaino. Do you use Z6 detail spray? I use after a car wash, it in between washes, and after dusting with a California Duster. Something is not right ESPECIALLY if you say your car is looking duller.

I suggest contacting Sal Zaino directly. He always responds quickly and is always willing to help out and try to figure problems out. Stands behind his product 100%.

the reason why you are having this problem is because oxidation has built up on top of the wax coat...you must strip it off by using dishwashing liquid..then after you dry it you should also try clay barring your car..that will strip off all of the oxidation and leave your car feeling nice and smooth..after the clay bar application add another coat of wax to protect it...hope that helped...
