What is a Good Rev Launch?

So, if I went to, say, a drag strip, and launched it on gummy race tires, what would be the techique? I know I'm gonna have to be gentle cuz the car just oozes torque, but seriously, is this exactly the same technique as the S2k? i.e. 6000RPM, side-step the clutch and spin the tires and let the tires catch up to the car? If that's how, I guess I won't be suuuuuper slow like I was a couple weeks ago...

I am running yokahama ES100 225/45ZR18s and i launch at about 4000 on the street. I get some wheelspin but not too bad. On the strip with the same tires i launch at about 5000rpm. I had hell the first time i took it to the drag strip three days after i bought it. I tried dumping the clutch at 5000 and all it did was wheelhop through first gear. Just launch a few times and see what you like best.

I hold mines at 3500rpm and when it's time to take off i step on the gas and while the revs are climbing i drop the clutch at 4500 and almost always get the same start.
