Awesome! I don't know why everyone knocks running on bad (grip-wise, not safety compromised type bad tires). Unless you're actually racing, doing an HPDE on less grippy tires is a blast and can teach a lot in terms of car control.

Yeah, you're going to be slower than other cars that you may otherwise be faster with with better tires, but... it's HPDE, not a race...!

It's the same principle I take when looking at modifying the car... I'd rather spend the $$ on seat time first and drive my car to the limits, learning along the way, then spend $$ on mods and be the guy driving a faster car slow...

just my .02...

seat time is seat time - you're not competing so absolute lap times mean very little. Go slide around and have fun

I completely agree with you, I just wished I could have had a better set of tires because I want to drive faster, I know I don't have everything down pack but I know that I can be faster than what I was in this video, but yes all my money goes on suspension components and track time, I practice everything from heel and toe to braking at the limits in the street where I am alone, I love to practice car control in the rain that's one of my favorite time to drive.

Thanks! I always do it's fun to have the car at what would be somewhat its limits to hear the tires screeching letting me know how hard I'm driving...
