Solo II///M and I arrived in Topeka today. I thought that I saw Eric in the paddock, but when I looked over that way again, he was gone. I think I found him at the hotel, though...at least his car.



Met ULLOSE for the first time (finally) and spent some time with TeamRX8 too. I suppose that we'll see others soon enough. I'm going to try to take pics of BS during the Finale this weekend if their run times don't conflict with us running/working the warm up course. if I get any, I'll post them (or a link) here.

 

I'll be rolling in Sun afternoon. I leave tomorrow at 6am.

For those not in attendance -- the RX-8s are doing pretty well for themselves on Day 1 of the Pro Finale. Joe Goeke is in first in his, followed by Sam Strano and Ron Bauer -- all are within a tenth of each other.

Had a fun time out there yesterday. Great to see the 8's running.

 

Very cool to see the results. I've only run local autox so far. How are the heats handled at the Tire Rack Nationals? How many classes run during a heat? How do they divide up the left /right course runs? Does everyone in the same class run one course then the other or are you split up into different run groups?

Too bad NASCAR Channel (Oops, I mean Speed Channel) doesn't cover any of this.
