When I move shift point from 8500-9300
Oil temp is about 100-104

Well somebody else did that and I wouldn’t. I’m not allowed to run a different diff cover, except I think it’s being considered as a new rule allowance next year or the year after. For track use you still need a pump and cooler regardless.

The S2 cover can be ran in DSP, but if not limited by the rules, I would go with a standalone cooler.

I have an S2 diff, but the reference was a aftermarket cover with larger oil sump capacity. They also already have the cooler hose bungs, temp sensor port, etc.

i’m kind of doubting that little wing off the S2 cover does much. It’s a major pitb to get a wrench around when removing the diff bushing bolt on that side I almost took a cutoff wheel to it the last time, lol

If you’re just sitting and revving high; sure, but at speed there’s a lot of air going through and around everything back there.

for what is worth,
the RE Amemyia exhaust comes with a double thickness wrap for that area,
which i think in google translate suggested it was to reduce heat to the diff.

They hype a lot of stuff up to justify their ridiculous pricing. That’s how it works over there.

I’ll assume that means the results were just as expected then; nada.
