Agreed Value insurance to cover mods. NO TRACKS
I am looking to get coverage for my car that would cover replacement of the car and modifications (without going into details, there is sufficent reason to do this.) THis is essentially collectors coverage.
The issue is that the car could never set "foot" at a track following coverage. This means not even occasional track use that is uncovered but covered street use. I am not sure I want to do that. I also will NOT lie and have the car covered and go to the track anyway. Out of the question.
Anyone have experience with this sort of thing? Any other options? Please, if you don't have first-hand experience, refrain from typing drivel.

I would be highly suspicious if the insurance policy would be voided post-track if you did track it.
Every policy I have ever read would not cover damage sustained while on the track, and rightfully so, just don't bother reporting it.
But getting a policy canceled even n the street just because it touched a track surface doesn't make sense, and doesn't sound legal. As long as you aren't trying to claim track damage under it, there is no reason the policy would be affected.
Warranty is a different story. Most warranties get voided the instant you touch a track.
But not insurance policies.

I do understand that the insurance may not cover you while on a track but voiding a contract altogether just because you attend track days makes no sense.
You should read the contract again and clear your mind I guess.
Anyway the usual practice here is to track the car without plates (so that you can snap pictures without problems) and in the event of a crash get the car towed somewhere near the track and file a claim.
It's not legal and it's not what I do but it's a fairly common practice.

There are a few insurance companies that will cover you at the track, there are also companies that specailize in track insurance.
To the OP: If the policy completly voids the whole policy of the car is tracked, I would do get it. However, if you can track at your own risk and just not be covered while on the track, then go for it and either be carefull when tracking or get track specific coverage.
Personaly I track my car at my own risk. I go to a track that is very safe but if something were to happen, its on me.

Don't remember the name of the company, but do you ever watch "My Classic Car" on Speed? One of their advertisers/sponsors/product placers is a company that insures colectable cars. They talk of "declared value" coverage. There should be a link on the show's web site.

most insurance companies will never cover track-related damage. so why bother reporting it ?
speaking of track related damage. I was at EnglishTown like a year something 2 ago, this G37 brand new just crash into the wall for no reason (not like he was going super fast or something), later I heard that that dumbass thought he is good but it was his first track day and he decided to turn his Stability controls off. LMAO dumbass total lost and no money for him

I know there are programs out there that would cover you but aside from specific instances none of the companies will cover you on the track. Most track policies only cover medical and injury as well as liability for the track.

I have agreed upon value insurance through Progressive and i go to the track all the time. They wouldn't cover my car if i stuffed it at the track but they dont ask me if i go to the track. It's about $150 more per term for 30k agreed value vs regular full coverage (for me at least).

He's as bad as Can
I have not needed to find this our but I heard HPDE's might be different in regards to coverage. Provide you also have classroom time, the event isn't timed, no 'winner' & no prizes of any kind. But I could be wrong.
