RX-8 wins championship
The Number 70 SpeedSource Mazda RX-8 driven by David Haskell and Sylvain Tremblay took Second place at California Speedway in the Lexus Grand American 250, on Saturday, October 30. The race has just run and I watched the live timing and lessoned to the live audio of the race. The BMW from Turner Motorsport ran into trouble towards the end of the RACE giving the Championship to the Mazda Team.

Excellent first season with a new car and new motor! Makes me like my car that much more. I looked at their setups and nothing exotic about it. Even still using stock brake calipers. Congrats to the Speedsource team. I know you guys check in from time to time.

Biggest congrats to Sylvain Tremblay, David Haskell, and the whole SpeedSource team. I'm amazed at how far the car and program has come in one year!
Dave, I know you're on here ... how about a few words

Thanks to everyone that followed us this season. I am happy to be able to win this Champions for all of the Rotorheads out there. Thank you Ryan for your support in your RX Tuner Magazine. We will be back next year and try to make it two in a row.

I didn't see that on speed, somehow even with tivo I missed it... missed it..
Though tivo calles most things on speed "auto race" or "auto event" doesn't matter what type of car... Thought it was usually on sundays. damn. Ah well.
Congrats to the team! Do it again! Do it again! I'm coming to see you guys next year at Birmingham!

At the season start I dont think they seriously entertained the idea of winning, and as the races went by they talked a little about what needed work (mileage, pit management, etc). I am very happy to see that they where able to get exactly what they needed, and a little luck, and blammo!
And I loved visitng the Speedsource shop for that BBQ in January. Got to see a motor out fo tehc ar, the bare chasis, etc. All very cool, and great guys. Congrats again!
