If it is anything like the Mazda one it will suck.

It sucked not cause of the cars, the tracks/events, it sucked cause it was free.

Why would free suck? Cause the time slot they gave you to be there meant nothing. So think of thousands of people there at once, trying to get even 1 drive and having to wait 2 hrs.
Swear we waited over 1 hr to drive the Mazda5. Those that weren't there early barely got a chance to drive the Miata.

Now put Chevy and the corvette. Oh lord, it will be worst than the lines at amusment parks.

Pass on it, go to a dealer and test drive or arrive very earlier.

Oh and this one better have some fraggin food! The one in DC you got a raffle ticket, that you used to get 1 hot dog, 1 bag of chips and think 1 drink. THATS IT! There was nothing to buy anywhere, less you wanted to leave your parking spot which hopefully was close and drive a couple of miles.

btw yes I am a little sore about the whole thing.

I doubt the competition runs will be free. Mazda's was $40 last time. The free part was all the additional skills tests in different cars... the lines for those sucked, but I remember only waiting a few mins at my scheduled time to do the timed runs.

You may be thinking of ZoomZoomLive, which was totally free. I think I waited over an hour to drive the new Miata for 30 seconds.

GM has already done a few Auto Show In Motion events that were free and let you drive the vette. They had a few days during the week in addition to the weekend, so I was able to go there before work with no lines. The vette course was really lame, with basically just a straight and a turn around, but overall I enjoyed myself.

I signed up for the SoCal one on 7/22. They say the pro time has only been beaten twice. Hart can't be that good can he?

It's only been beaten once, Karter Bollman in Houston in '03.

Jason gets many, many, many runs in the car, and on the course. We get... 2.
