The car currently grinds rev matching into 2nd. Takes the fun away from driving. The car will probably at most see 2 track days a month.

 

you will spend just as much or more rebuilding it as buying a used 2009+ trans so the choice should be obvious if you can find a decent one

There was one local here for $1100 shipped.

That price for a rebuild including R&R means absolute minimal parts replacement; i.e. patch job, not rebuild. I would recommend requesting a detailed list of the parts included.

you are complete right on the patch job for 900 and not a complete rebuild, a complete rebuilt will send that bill easily up to 1500 which would be the same as a 09 tranny

also would those syncro saver help any
