Question regarding autoXing an RX8

I currently use my RX8 as my DD (work from home so I drive it sparingly). Currently I have a Miata that is set up for SSM. As much fun as my SSM Miata is to drive. I'm getting tired of trailering tires, gear, etc... and changing tires at events, as well as driving a car that's only comfortable during autoX runs, 1.5 hours to get to events.

I'm looking at selling my Miata set up buying a new (to me) DD and putting the RX8 into autoX duties CS (T) at first then maybe setting it up for STX depending on how the rules pan out in the future.

Due to the rotary, are there any precautions or things you would do to the RX8 before, during or after an event that you wouldn't do for any other car? Looking along the lines of adding premix, adding oil during events...etc. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

^Make sure your oil level is good...Other than that I don't do anything else. Just show up and drive.

+1 On what Mike said. As long as your oil level is good before the event, you don't need to check it again until after you've completed all of your runs.

make sure oil level is at FULL. even half a quart low the low oil light would come on under hard braking.
