Had autocross today. Here she is.

 

What kind of laptimes you running at Road atlanta? We did a 9 hour race there in an S2000 (prepped for H1 NASA racing). I think i ran a 1:38.XX somewhere in my 2 hour stint. Just wanted to see how an RX8 compares since they are similar hp/tq, etc...

What's the red tape on the headlights for?

 

Eye lids. She's been named Optimus Prime (I know there's a gender mix up here) by mazdasnw.com due to the color scheme. I like the blue with red accents.

Chris!! I kept looking for you like 800 times to say hi to you but everytime I went to your car, you weren't there or you were racing. lol You looked great out there either way man. Hopefully next National event we can catch up. Wanted to thank you again for the words of wisdom that I can't thank you enough for.. Like you said, I had some unfinished business with the RX-8.

 

Marc, crazy weekend for me, as a NNJR core worker there were always things that needed to be done which didn't allow much time for catching up. I saw you in grid on Sunday and I was about to walk over until my radio went off..... Its been great that you got another 8 and have started from the outset to build it to a class, I am watching your progress very closely. Car looked great I'll be at Toledo as I'll have to skip Dover.

Cars look great Zelse, Broda and Chris. I had planned to drive over to spectate for a while as I was in the area but the weather was a turn off.

 

Thanks Al! Too bad you didn't make it, would've been nice to finally meet ya! Maybe sometime soon, eh? If you're not far from that venue, maybe we could autocross there together sometime, though I'd prefer to stay somewhere nearby the night before, so gotta find a cheap hotel.
