Operation NASCAR(aka installing a Kirkey Intermediate Road Race)

So... Armed with a cold Heineken Keg, some willpower and my trusty Hobart 180 welder I decided to start fitting this.

Kirkey Intermediate Road Race 17" wide.

Into this.

I made a simple square base to see where I was going and see how I could go lower.

Then I fitted the seat and the rails

Then my keg was empty(wish I had bought a new one before starting), I realised I was way to ******* drunk and hungry to keep at this for tonight, I started when I came back from work at 15:30 and I have not eat anything yet(it was 20:00 wen I stopped).

So everything is spotwelded and test fitted, sometimes this week-end I will finish the welding, seatbelt mount, grind everything off nicely, corners, areas where here is too much metal, reinforce other areas , paint, ect... ect.. ect... I figure I still have at least 6-8 hours of work on it to get it the way I want it to be.

Now I need a shower and another beer.

For those who care, i'm 6'4" and 255lbs and I now have about 3-4 inches of clearance above my head. Plenty for a helmet!!!!

The seat is super confortable also, I love it.
