Omp 7% increase AND 1/2oz premix?

All

I'm having my ECU tuned with mazdaedit and there's the option to increase the OMP rate. The recommended increase is 7%, but I also already premix 1/2oz idemitsu per gallon when racing.

Would you all recommend sticking with what I'm doing now, or increasing the OMP by 7% and continuing to premix all the time, or increasing the OMP and only premixing at the track?

Since I'm almost exclusively doing HPDE and time attack, hopefully that keeps deposits at bay.

7% of not much is still not much why not just use 1.07 oz/gal and skip the map ... just to get your head thinking about what all this really means

I don’t really agree with a blanket x% value. First, the map is load based and it’s already maxed out in the high load area. Second, the amount you may want to increase it at lower loads like idle might need to be different than the amount you may want to increase it at higher loads.

So just adding a blanket x% is really no different than just adding more premix because it adds that much more everywhere rather than maybe targeting one area more than the other ...

Especially if the OMP is feeding engine oil, increasing premix makes more sense. Not that there is a downside to increasing the OMP rate, it's just not solving the problem.

I would go with increasing the omp and just using premix at the track .
I typically increase by 10% where possible (60 is max setting) plus target the cruise range (37% load 2000-3000) specifically, going from 3 to 4 (33% increase). That is the range where the engine spends most of it's time when on the freeway and i believe it's a hole in Mazdas' map .
