I find this super cool.

Mind if I ask what you did with the koni setup?

We've ran the 17x10 +52 949 wheels, they were very light, not even 18lbs iirr. We also have the Wedsports that are 17x10.5 mentioned above. They are 21lbs, not 25. Our current 18x11 CCW's are 21lbs I believe.

Looking forward to seeing a lot of you out at Nationals! We are arriving later tonight.

BTW, if anyone hasn't left yet that has an S1 transmission, I know an STX friend who is in need of one!

I could still eliminate a bunch of weight from the flywheel but I am not sure what direction to head on the clutch. I don't have personal experience to go off of. Any advice?
Tilton is fantastic, but really recommended to trailer the car (with a winch to pull onto the trailer). You really wouldn't want to street drive much both for the wear on the clutch and the on/off nature that makes slipping it difficult.

If you want light wheels you gotta pay to play

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/sponsor-...batch-1196754/

not as light, not as expensive, but the Goodwin/Konig wheel is a less expensive though spaced out further

The clutch chirps like a sumbich too. But once you're going they're fun cars.

Went from my car the other day to John's and damn the car can pull. It felt like going from a stock NA miata to a slap-on-Chinese-choo-choo-boi kit.

Can't wait to replace my engine.

Well watch out for that “one thing leads to another” pit, it’s not so easy to get out of

bled all my brakes 2 nights ago and the pistons are hung up/dragging in my front RB calipers; going to need rebuilding (more $ & time)

clutch bleed went fine, but had to order a remote slave bleed kit from Japan because it won’t be so accessible later (more $ & time)

went to do the install on the oil cooler and lines last night and didn’t leave myself enough room at the oil return mount on the upper rear iron mounting point; going to require a minimum-profile oil return manifold. (more $ & time)

So I was thinking to go work on the radiator shrouding today, but am feeling a bit apprehensive on what will show itself next, lolz

any reason why you're mounting the fan in front instead of back?

because I have weirdo ideas on how to do things

was a bit disappointed though as the fan ended up quite a bit heavier than the manufacturer claimed. No weight savings here, but the weight is shifted right of centerline, kicks out 2300 cfm on high speed as a pusher configuration, and will also flow better for racing. Should be more than enough.

I wonder if the proposal to move the 128i into DSP would have an impact on this (assuming it's approved).

CSP being 2 seconds faster on the same course caught my eye, but Billy did zing it on his last run (oh, he already won this AM!). They ran first and DSP last. Maybe different conditions contributed to that much time separation, but it was a bit surprising.

I’m sitting on it for the moment. Adax sold a set last year after he found a tricked out set of Ohlin race shocks (not the street kit type). There are some pretty good photos in that FS thread.

CSP PAX is so close to SM pax. I feel like that shouldn't happen. Lol

*Edited to correct derp.*

well congrats to Tamra for winning the DSP National Championship! Great winning time today. Looks like yesterdays leader might have played it safe after cones the first two runs. Just the same, being in the hole on Day 1 and coming back on day 2 with really strong runs to take a well earned win is a sign of a true champion!

Not really much into PAX fantasy racing, but will assume you meant SM rather than SSM.

Np, but on that scale for a 60 sec course DSP should be within 1.2 sec of CSP, which is my only reason for wondering about the difference in conditions given it was substantially more.

If you ever want to free yourself of them, give me a holler. I have an awful set of KWV3's that I'd like to replace when the time comes.

I feel if you put Billy in the Tamdrew car, the results would be different.

Billy is a bit of a monster behind the wheel, and unfortunately you can't put a Billy Davis tax on the CSP PAX. lol
