Well, first heat (STX) managed to escape the rain. In fact, despite an almost constant presence of grey clouds, it only rained on Saturday, at the end of heat three and for most of heat four.

My driving was off on Saturday, and I had a .4 sec deficit from first, behind two WRX drivers (Michael Carpenter and Jason Morrow). Drove better on Sunday and the competition was tighter (Michael, Jason and I all had 52.3xx times!) but the order didn't change. I *have* to figure out this two-day format thing...

An interesting note - a Scion FR-S was entered in RTR on 235 Star Specs. The top driver in that car, Stephen Hui (who won RTR), was only about 1 to 1.3 seconds off the best STX times day-to-day. Now, RTR ran third heat, so the course was cleaner & warmer, but those cars are going to be fast.

Another interesting note. Matthew Braun won SS (OK that's not that interesting) in two different Lotus Elises. First one broke it's diff on Saturday before Matthew got his third run. So, Saturday night they swapped the suspension into another competitor's lesser-prepared Elise (with an open diff) and Matthew still won.

And a final note - Tesla Roadsters don't like being jostled about too much. There was a mid-corner bump that would cause the cars to load up hard (this is the same bump that killed the diff in the Elise) that caused the Tesla to apparently conclude it was in an accident and thus shut itself down. Driver had to coast to a stop before he could get it moving again.

Did anybody watch it on the internet? It was the first tour to be broadcasted as such...

Congrats on the trophy.

They had some blurry camera shots on the U-Stream broadcast if that's what you mean. Couldn't see much or really tell what was going on due to the limited viewing area. That's not the first time so maybe there was something else online that I'm not aware of?
