Actually I think Chike brought them up in the STX thread, but it doesn't really matter.

Don't get me wrong - I like Emilio and 949, but these wheels have been vaporware for over a year now. Expected availability date has slipped - again - to mid-April.

When he's actually got some on the shelf to sell, I'll be interested to see what they weigh. Until then, who cares?

Yea it's been vaporware for a while but they're supposed to be getting a 17x9 in this week I think. We'll see.

What Iain said. I couldn't wait on these and ended up going with a set of 17x9 +45 RPF1's.

if they ever come out the 17x10+52 with some 255/40's on it sounds like a tasty setup. not so much for stx like you but it should make for a sick setup.

What about these?
5-Zigen FN01R-C Hot Version 17" x 9" 5/114.3 43-offset 18.5lbs - $189.99
offset price and weight look pretty good. not quite as good as the RPF1's but a bit cheaper.
Enkei RPF 17' X 9' 5/114.3 45-offfset 16.5lbs $215.99

I wouldn't believe the weights listed on that site. I've got a set of 17x9 +35mm FN01RCs in my garage (right next to a set of 17x9 +35mm RPF1s ), and they're closer to 20 pounds each.

Great wheel - I've been using them as track wheels for the last two years - but not that lightweight.

17x10+52 will probably rub on the inside rear well where the shock tower protrudes out, especially if you run any rear camber

You know I was going to ask you today about the clearance there. I remember reading that the 10.5+43 was close. Do you really think the 3mm move inboard would ne a problem though?

It was pretty close and I typically run less rear camber than most people, OE body tolerances vary, The rear suspension has camber gain under compression, and 3mm is roughly 1/8". Worst case you could run 1/8" spacers made for a Ford Mustang to get that back and still have enough threads with the OE wheel studs.

since you have RPF1's now, you wanna give a fellow member a good deal on selling them....

I have no intention of selling them right now. I use the FN01RCs for track wheels, the RPF1s for autocross wheels, and the OEMs for street use.

oh well, I figured it was worth asking. I think I will be getting a set soon. How is the fitment and brake caliper clearance on them? Any chance you have a pic that shows how flush they are?

BTW thanks for responding, its good to know that the 17X9's will fit and clear everything. That was a big concern for me.

Static fitment and brake clearance pics: 17x9 +35mm FN01RCs

Plenty of "in motion" pictures on this page.

I bought a used set of the 17x10 +52 6ULR wheels today. I intend to initially use 295/35-17 Hoosier A6 tires on them for the occasional fun event once in a while (my plan is to continue in STX nationally for 2012).

Hoosier is considering a new 275/30 or 35-17 size (23.8" or 24.5" OD) for 2012. Nothing has been decided yet. I was recently informed that it-would probably be mid year at the soonest if it happens.

There is some talk that 949Racing will redesign the 6ULR wheels to be lighter and stronger next year with more sizing options ....
