Why don't you quit beating around the bush and just state plainly who, what, when, and where? This is what you do, but then claim people are stupid for not being able to connect the dots so simply. There must be something going on because you've been on an increasing pitch of fervor in your posts for the last several weeks. Even if it's true to some extent, these postings come across as a bit insecure or obsessed, which to me seems unnecessary. While theres no doubt that you are a savvy guy who is a major contributor to the RX-8 community, you've boastingly posted it up like you are the sole person who has done so and that every owner and racer is a complete f'ing retard who should bow down and give praise to your Greatness. Don't you think that's a bit over the top? It also contradicts your "can kiss my ***" statement because it is clearly getting to you emotionally and psychologically.

Given your opinion of MazdaManiac as you conveyed it to me back in April of 2009 (during your ill-fated attempt at boycotting BHR based on MazdaManiac's association with us) a simple "Thank you" would have sufficed and if your safety is of sufficient concern for you to feel entitled to the intellectual efforts of others, perhaps you should not trifle with the safety systems on your car. Or, better yet, figure this **** out for yourself next time and dispense with the back-handed gratitude.

In all seriousness Im sorry it came across that way, I was siting the fact that Jeff likes to hold his info dear to him(and I dont mean answering questions with questions, which seams to be the modus operandi) since its the foundation of his business, thats all. I didnt try to start anything, and I can see how you guys have interpreted now. ohh well. As for the aformentioned stance on your products, I still have no such items on my car so Im not sure how my boycott is a failure, but whatever. Im not even going to touch the other statement...
I stopped holding a grudge yrs ago like you mentioned, now does that mean I will buy your stuff, no, but if you want to know that answer we can take it out of this thread, no big deal, and honestly its not personal either, up to you, I doubt you'll be suprised anyway.

I'm running the Corbeau Forza fixed back seats with the Corbeau rails. Fits great, holds way better on the track, and actually allows me to wear a helmet in the car without my head stuck on the ceiling. The only negative complaint I have is that I now have a massive blind spot on the left side of my car. The shoulder area is a lot wider so it's impossible to look over your shoulder when merging into traffic or changing lanes. I still haven't taken them out from my track day on monday so I'll try to take a picture tonight.

Just installed a Cobra Imola Pro GT. Beautiful seat, but it is a tight fit in the 8. I started with the Wedge bracket and did some custom work to get it the seat lower and centered, including making my own side mounts. It would be pretty challenging to get this seat to work with sliders, but if you're okay with a fixed position, I highly recommend it.

I run a sparco evo. I'm using a new bracket offered from 401 motoring available from OG Racing. It's a huge improvement in quality over the wedge racing brackets I had in my last Rx8 and it only costs about another $20.

I just picked up a set of Used Forza seats at a discount and in the process I learned a little about the FIA rating. I am going to share what I learned, however my details and acts my not be 100% accurate so if I am wrong please speak up but be kind.

The forza seats I got are about 5 years old and are marked FIA 8855-1992. A little googling and a call to Corbeau revealed that the Forza Seats were FIA rated until the newer 8855-1999 rating came out. Not sure i there is something else newer.

At that point the forza was manufactured with no FIA rating but instead has a bolt hole to mount to a seat back brace (part of a cage?) Where as a current FIA rated seat does not require a seat back brace. A FIA 8855-1999 seat that is more then 5 years old is then required a seat back brace unless it get sent back to the manufacture for a 2 year recert extension.

As always if your building a race car, check the rule book first. I was only looking for track day seats, so the expired FIA 8855-1992 seat will be more then sufficient for my needs and can be bought at a considerable discount.
