HELP:adjustments for set-up needed. tips pls.
i've recently put on my 17x9.5 +38offset on 275/40/17 azenis. and i've ran with 38p.s.i. as test pressure and also to heat cycle/break them in.
here's my results:
-front two tires have 1/2 inch on the inner tire not making full contact with the road
-rear tires (off the same 38psi) have 1/3 inch on inner and outer not making full contact patch.
the rears can be cured rather easy if i try running and testing with lower psi. but its the front with only inner section about 1/2inch not in full contact thats worrying me. it seems to be a lil more understeer... need to make some fine adjustments.
i am running stock sways. running RB springs. what are some suggetions to get the whole patch down and worn even???
the rims have been taken off... but i'd like some suggestion on what options i have to remedie the fronts to wear evenly...sways? dial in some negative camber?
tips needed.
thanks

p.s., if you'd like to recommend a "light" mild setting for street/autox and have some numbers in mind that you'd like to share, pls do.
so far, keeping the numbers close to stock will be enough for me. the minor the adjustment the better... so i can get a feel for other mods by small increments and testing to see what feels good.
thanks in advance

^^ you could be right swoope. i'm unsure.
i only put 38psi or something high to bring up where the wear patterns are and bring up heat faster. and for some reason...the tire installer put 38psi in them anyway.
i do feel funny in why it wore in weirdly... particularly the front. the sides are understandable...overinflation will have more wear in the centers, and underinflation on the outers. but only on the insides??? hmmm...

i would go with 33 or 34 lbs.. and drive them, it will take a couple hundred miles to get them to feel right...
the insides are alignment related, but you are not there yet..
and when i say drive the car i mean that..
falcon 615? this is the second time i have asked that..

Momentum Keeps Me Going
If 225s are recommended @32psi, 275s with the much wider contact area need far less. On the street I run as low as 26-28 to keep the ride comfortable on shitty roads, 32 max. Even on track you need far less pressure in these big boys.
As for the wear on the inside, same happened to me. It all went away after a corner balance and track alignment and realizing to let the tires down on the road with less pressure. And rather than that alignment encouraging uneven wear, it's made even wear possible, again as they are so wide.
BTW excellent choice with the 17s
