Handling and Mazdaspeed Spoiler

I was in some twisties and the front end becomes very light when i reach speeds around 120-130mph.

Can this be cured by adjusting the rear spoiler or is this common with the 8?

Think about this for a moment. You say "the front end becomes very light when i reach speeds around 120-130mph" and you think a rear spoiler will correct this? An airdam/front spoiler will do a couple of things. It will force air over the top of the car, creating down force mostly on the front. It will keep air from building up under the car, reducing drag from the turbulence from the rough under structure and reduce rear end lift from the resulting high pressure built up. A rear spoiler creates downforce on the rear and may, if designed and setup right, smooth out the air flow to reduce drag.

MS wing won't do anything to correct what you're experiencing.

Does look pretty cool though...

MS wing is not effective until you are up around the 180 mph mark, then it kicks in.

180 mph... then I guess you would need a turbo for the ms to be effective.

That's just the car telling you not to go 120-130mph on public roads.

thanks...just checking if the rear drag created by the spoiler would cause the front end lift. I don't know anything about four wheels and aerodynamics. NOW, if it's two wheels.....

MP5: thanks mom for reminding me not to go so fast.

Best motoring said the Wing is effective in braking and I certainly love to have it up when braking at 190 kph.

Front is light - try braking and the rear is light

Suspension is the key and stiffen your car with struts and sways.

taka is right - what's your suspension setup? Mine stock float went away with the full MS setup, but I'm looking at front spoilers because I am never totally satisfied
