I was wondering if anyone here will be at the Grand Am race at Watkins Glen this weekend. I'm racing in a support race and if anyone else is there would you like to meet up?

 

I'm gonna be there. It's my first trip to the Glen and I don't own an RX-8 (nor will I even have my car with me) so I don't know about meeting up. What car will you be racing?

 

I'm in the Skip Barber support series. They haven't assigned car numbers yet but you can look around for my helmet (it's in my Avatar) or I can pm my cell #. This is my first event with real spectators so if you look for the kid who looks like a 5-year old in Disneyland you can probably find me.

We're situated by the consession stand in the paddock, across the way from the SpeedSource RX-8's (woohoo!). I should be driving #64.

I had tried to make plans to go to Indy but they fell through, and I think I'm just going to relax this weekend. The Skip Barber invitational was a one off thing, though I wished they could do it again.

Actually I saw a red 8 with Ontario plates along the sole of the boot on Saturday. I would have stopped to see if it was you, but I was in a rush to get back to the paddock, I was late for my drivers meeting. :o

I finished 2nd on Friday and 3rd on Saturday, they were some incredible races. If you were at that same spot for both races then you saw plenty of action, especially on the last lap. I hope you enjoyed it and hope it made you want to sign up for a 3-day school!
