goal--under 3K lbs on the track
current wgt 3150 with 1/2 tank(roadracing no autocross) --i have the damn sunroof, but cloth interior. 6 speed blah bah blah, battery thing i am aware of and a 680 odessy is on standby for track events. wgt was with oem battery.
how can i get to my goal and still have a comfortable daily driver--can it be done?
i also sure like the undertrays on the 2009!

150 lbs and still have a comfortable daily driver? That's a tough one. Not sure it's possible.
But here is where I would start:
Lighter wheels and brake rotors.
Lighter seats with lighter mounting brackets. Think about removing the rear seats.
Take all the liners and everything out of the trunk, engine bay, etc.
That's probably all that you'll be able to do without if you still want comfort. If you want to do a little more think about removing the heater core and a/c unit, and everything that goes with them.
That's what I can think of off the top of my head.

Wheels, If you could run a single exhaust with no cat that would probably help a lot. I dont know how often you track but maby take out the rear seats when you do? only a couple pounds but empty your washer fluid when you track. every little bit helps.
I was 3147lbs when cornerweighted with Enkei 275/35/18 RT-615s. 1/2 tank and my weight in the drivers seat (150). For track -24lbs for 17" Enkeis with 255 Nitto NT01s, -24lbs remove rear seats, remove jack et al ~15lbs = 3084lbs
other weight mods minus:
Odessy 680
RB 2p frnt rotors
Corksport CATback
other weight mods plus:
Autoexe strut braces
Trunk dynomated
Fire extinquisher
For a GT, there not much else to go if you want the everyday conveniences.

How come you guys are so heavy?
My car - with me in it and about 1/2 tank of gas is 3200.
I have full leather, a subwoofer, sunroof, car computer and a turbo system with a vertical door conversion and I'm lugging around a water meth system and a full MS kit and 19" blingy rims.
Of course, I only weigh 155, but still...

Base 04-05 models are under 2850# with light wheels and exhaust in Stock autox trim. A roll cage will obviously add weight, but under 3000# should be easy
. I was in the low 2700# in STU trim.

If you do not care very much about meeting emission regulations during a cold start:
- remove the air pump, valves and tubing.
Sure it will trim about 16 pounds and the engine bay will look cleaner (and it will enable to place additional items in the engine bay (i.e. a little tank for fresh oil injection for the Richard Sohn adaptor).
The only problem with this is that the PCM shuts the engine off during cold starts when the pump is disconnected.
That being being fixed and you get less weight + more free space around the engine.

You will get a CEL, but nothing "shuts off" or anything like that.
If you have a PCM reflash, you won't even notice anything different at all (other than the lack of a whine from the air pump on a cold morning).
My 06 base is exactly 3000lbs with FULL tank of gas and everything stock. With all the money you will need to lose that 150lbs and things you have to remove, you are better off selling that and buying a base model.........
