Fuel test port?

How have you guys with race cars installed a fuel test port on the RX8?

I found a few old posts on the topic but they were mostly talking about components and I didn’t understand how those components would be installed.

pics and links would be much appreciated.

it fits directly between where the metal fuel line comes into the engine bay next to the brake assist canister/booster and the nylon hose to the fuel rail connects to it (red disconnect tab), assuming the prior owner didn’t change all that.

Thanks @TeamRX8 . I had seen your previous posts for that product but the old links resulted in a 404. Now that I am able to see the product, I have some additional questions... That part by itself doesn't seem to have all the necessary parts...

For context, with my Spec Miata, I have this dry-break quick disconnect setup spliced into the stock fuel hose with a T adapter.
https://www.miatacage.com/fuel-sampl...for-99-05-afpr

Here's another example from a different vendor: https://www.advanced-autosports.com/...t-kit-new-item

The Aeromotive part you posted seems to provide a 'body' that plugs into the RX8's fuel line using a compatible quick disconnect providing:
1. a barb to which a regular fuel hose may be attached and
2. a port to which I think I can screw in a dry-break quick disconnect
From there, I can connect a hose such as the one pictured above to pump out fuel into a container.
Back to #1, confused about the barb on the Aeromotive part. It seems like I would need to modify the quick disconnect on the fuel rail somehow so that I could then attach the regular, non-OEM, fuel hose from that barb to the fuel rail... Is that right?

It doesn't seem like the material used for fuel hoses used on the RX8 are appropriate to cut and splice a T adapter into them.

yeah, you just need that one piece to fit in the fuel line and provide the threaded port connection to add the rest of it since there is no RX8 specific kit that I’m aware. I didn’t detail it out figuring you either knew or could google up the rest of it from all the usual Miata/MX5 kits that are out there given that your not the typical helpless forum noob …

Thanks. This is an area where I have very limited experience. Only did it once on a different, far lower tech car12ish years ago... So I am a noob on this topic.
