First time down the strip
First time taking the 8 down and I guess it did okay. Ill post a copy of my time slip when I get home today. I did 20-25 runs on a TnT night.
Best run was a;
14.8 @ 93mph
2.2X 60ft
If I could drop the 60ft I could get a little better time. Changing the RPM to launch from 6k down to 2k it liked to leave at 3.5k. Time to stick a pair of drag radials on stock wheels and launch it harder.
There was no difference in doing a burn out vs dry launch. But my tire compound on the Eagle F1 All Seasons are pretty hard.
Oh im also on a full stock motor with a airfilter that hasnt been cleaned in 25k miles Pulling the filter out running airbox sealed = loss in 3mph and +.2 secs. Airbox unclipped open also had the same loss in speed/et. You gotta try stuff sometimes for free see if it helps. Would have unbolted my exhaust infront of the cat but didnt have a set of wrenches with me. Plus didnt want to sound like *** and still only run a 15

It's a Cavalier
Good stuff, man. Very good ET and solid mph. I really like that you're changing the equation, and seeing what works. 20-25 runs in one night?!?! That's awesome. Were you hotlapping a bunch? Might want to give it a little more cool down time, but that just shows how well the RX8 can take it. Awesome.
You get that 60ft down just a tiny bit and you'll be dead on mid 14 and 94-95mph. Did you see any 2.0 or 2.1 60ft on any other runs?

Far as getting the 60ft time down. I have to change rear tires to help. Even smoking them up quite abit didnt do anything. Track prep prob wasnt great, but there was a few high 9 sec cars dailing in throttle stops. Ill go back again when I get my Konis installed. See if that helps plant the rear tires a little better. Btw no better 60ft times than 2.2.
