Anybody got advice and recommendation on modification of gas tank for fast fill at fuel cap?

 

Why would you want something like that? I can't imagine that it would speed up fueling unless you're using the nascar type bottle things.

Stant makes a couple sizes like this. Is that what you mean?

 

Yeah, i bought a 1/2" NPT pvc bulkhead fitting at Home Depot and installed it in the top end of a 5 gal race fuel jug (requires cutting a hole with a holesaw) with a short nipple and ball valve in it. I put the drain hose in the gas tank opening, tilt the jug up, and then open the valve. The whole 5 gal drains in just over 1 minute. Will try to get a picture.

Edit; maybe I misunderstood what you want .... The above converts a 5 gal fuel jug to a sealable dump can

For those that said why or were wondering. Sorry I should have explained the purpose. This is for endurance racing. Someone recommended we remove the filler tube from the tank and remove the unleaded fuel restrictor and then the rest is modification of the fuel tank, much like Team RX8 describes. Thanks for the replies.
