GT install went smoothly over a few hours on a Saturday afternoon. There's still a few little details to work out but overall a successful execution imo. Much more in line with the current "style" of the vehicle imo and rear visibility is completely unobstructed; the Odula was less than ideal and took some getting used to.
And as luck would have it, it turns out the fabricator also does some aero modeling and expressed an interest in helping design an aero system to compliment the new wing. I came to learn that he's campaigned a race car with a team of friends and designed the aero system for that. Super cool dude and was already brainstorming on how he'd approach the diffusor design (sounded fairly similar to the TBR-03 imo); really nice when things fall into place like that.
Next DE isn't until Feb and I'm not planning to push the car hard as-is. Hopefully I can get back with the fab guy before then and work out a front splitter and whatever else we can throw at it.
Beautiful car and nice progress so far with the aero.
I have seen people recommend making the diffuser strakes out of something that can easily be replaced with a bolt on design..... because they will contact the ground on occasion.
Any updates on your project since the last post?
I plan to dive deep into building my own body and under body aero parts for my RX8 starting next year.
