Corolla XRS

A stock manual corolla xrs is killing me in drag races....it has like 161 hp w/ the celica gts engine anyways whats the deal? do i have some major power issues? he is a good driver yeah but i also paid close to twice what he did! we rolled from 30 too where i should have a huge advantage.....btw my car is an 05 automatic but still seems ridiculous

2zz-ge will put out 172hp and 127torque from the factory.

Little bit of tuning and 200hp is VERY easy to reach.

And, of course, he weighs about 300lbs less than you.

I am guessing you are talking about a LEGAL drag strip, , , cuz street racing is bad . . . .mmmmmmkay

The whole thing is ridiculous. You drive a slow car. He drives a slow car. My manual transmission RX8 is a slow car in a straight line as well (just less slow than an auto). These are not roll race cars, nor are they drag cars.

You're probably in a higher gear than you need to be for the punch. Are you manually selecting or letting the slushbox downshift for you (time waisted)?

Either way, Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
