From: Hayward,
I was at Laguan Seca on Saturday, I thought SpeedSource did horribily. Their cars were really slow for some reason. I guess the Pontiacs and Porsches cars go faster in colder weather than the Rotary engines. It was chilly and foggy all day. And cars were passing the RX-8 on turn 2 like crazy. It was very disappointing that they didn't win on a Mazda track. Oh well, at least they are still leading.

BTW, to heard the 3 rotors engines roar down the straight was amazing!!

Will post some pictures later..

I was pretty amazed that they dint do better, they did get the poll for the race, maybe because of the wether they could not get heat into the tires?

It really was a cool race. I was there with an ST Team, ROAR RACING. Once we were done and halfway cleaned up, I got to watch a good bit of the GT race Sat afternoon. For a while, the leaders were Farnbacher, Speedsource #70, Farnbacher, Speedsource #69. Then #69 got into some contact on the driver's front with someone and then had to pit. It was still scrapping the tires on tight right handers. Seeing the cars go down the corkscrew was amazing!

Our ST Cars:
Lead the race for more than half of it. #63 kicked ***!

Sorted out some differential issues on the #62 the whole weekend. Also got intimate with an i-Moto Acura.

"Borrowed" a differential from an '07 RX-8 with 8 miles on the odo!

The GT Race!

I've got more pictures to post later and also some video. The 3-rotors really do sound wonderful. Compared to the piston engines, they sound like F1 cars going by. Much higher note. Sounds fantastic going through the gears.

How did you do all that and not even rub up the mirror? I'm missing a dime sized spot of paint from rubbing againt someone that "merged" into me comming into a toll booth and don't have any body damage.

What happened was the two cars were rounding the turn onto the front straight. Somehow, the other vehicle ended up hitting the inside wall (this was on it's own... no contact before hand). When it hit the wall, it bounced off going head first across the track to the outside of the corner. It then hit our #62 with it's nose and then proceeded to spin, getting stuck in the corner and pushing our car out into the gravel trap.

I would guess that the hole would most likely match up with the tow-hook on the other vehicle.
