Thanks for the consideration! Have fun in XP! I'm still looking for a co-drive, I haven't run across anything tangible yet. If any of you guys knows of an open seat, let a brotha know!

TeamRX8 back in the saddle again, finished up at 5 AM this morningand took it for it's first drive back in Stock trim from the STU conversion. Car handles great considering it still needs an alignment, but the brake pedal is mushy so I've got some more bleeding to do

hopefully I can catch up on lost sleep between now and the event

Is the event spectator friendly? I've never been to an event, but I would love to see great drivers out there. See? Living in SD does have its perks.

Good luck being the sweeper class folks - it wasn't fun at Dixie.

Just signed up for SD, driving the sc Miata in XP. I don't have very high hopes for the car, yet, as we have the old springs and Tein shock package in it...the triple Penskes and higher rate springs aren't ready yet, due to a end cap issue on the fronts. So, we will have a marginalized set up, but at least we will have a decent, baseline alignment. We did run the car last weekend, but with no alignment, as the shocks/springs were installed just in the nick of time. The car felt absolutely horrible and, when we were done, by eyeball it looked like we had a bunch of rear toe OUT on one side...not fun. Other than not handling worth shxt and no ABS making me relearn how to modulate the brakes, the car is a real hoot...it accelerates quite a bit quicker than my old Z06 and, once we get it dialed, will handle great, I'm sure.

That XP Miata was fun to watch in the wet for sure! I wouldn't be surprised to see it taking TPOD with Mike behind the wheel once sorted out.

11 ppl signed up now in BS for SD, and 7 for El Toro. Not as many people (17) as last year, but a decent turnout.

We will be staying at Super 8 on Alvarado in Mission Valley.

Oh, it was very, very...umm...entertaining(?) to drive in the wet, what with an alignment that precluded using any throttle off turn...which wasn't really any better the next day in the dry! I've never driven a more squirrelly vehicle, but given a suspension set up that was visibly out of whack probably doesn't give a fair indication of what the car is really like.

It's going to take a bunch of work to get the car where it needs to be

So, was Ryan B. in CS really that much faster than BS, or did he have better conditions?

You guys are already running, and we are sitting here with 2 inches of NEW snow this morning. This sucks. My first event is not until about three weeks from now. Yuck.

Would like to hear from the folks in SD about he conditions as well.
Buetzer is pretty freaking good... had a big gap at Nats last year too (at least on the non-wet East course).

BTW, where are you located Cito?

Sounds like Buetzer flat checked out on everyone - won CS by 4.6 seconds, beat BS by ~3 seconds, AS by ~2 seconds, and would've taken second in SS. Ouch!

BS and AS ran heat 1, swept a very dirt course on Sat and it rained in the AM before we ran on Sun. I thought after three years with no co-driver and a low number I was cooked on Sun, as Luis was a 2nd driver with a higher number, he got to run well after the rest of use were done. With every run the course was getting much better, as you can see by the 2+ secs drops per run in heat 1, but it never got totally dry for us.

Even if you took the weather out the little cars would have crushed us, the course was one of the tightest I have ever seen in SD, I think it was the only time I have not seen the limiter there. CS and CSP were able to stay flat in a lot of spots where bigger cars had to brake.

Talking with Rob, he said that he hit the cone because he didn't think the course was as dry as it was on his third run....He didn't expect the the tires to hook up as well as they did or for the car to turn in as fast as it did.

Congrats on the win, Jason...
