Chick speak please
Yes I did use the search...... but I still don't get it
I am looking for wheels for autocrossing and to be honest I don't understand any of the "offset, backspace, ET, TPMS compatibility" lingo that goes with finding a wheel that will work. I called both of the Mazda dealers here in my area and neither one of them knew any more then the fact that I need an 18X8. So I called Mazda USA and learned that I need a 50mm offset. I found some Enkei's that are 18X8, 5X114.3, ET 42 and +42 offset, not TPMS compatible but they have TPMS for these wheels for an additional $400.00. Then the tech stated "I don't need TPMS just to autocross so just take em off", followed by "yep these wheels will work"
My question is, will these work without any additional modification? What about the TPMS, can I just run without them? Lastly, if these won't work can someone tell me exactly what I need to look for? I will be running in BS.
Thanks,
Cindy

Your best bet is probably to buy some stock wheels from someone who went aftermarket for the street.
And, yes, for BS, you need to stay with 18x8 and within 1/4" of 50mm offset...no need for the TPMS
I use a set of stock wheels and a set of Enkei RPM2's for BS autox.
