cheaper axial flow short throw shifter??
i was just wondering if anyone knows where i can find a axial flow short throw shifter for cheaper than 260 off the axial flow site?
i mean i have no problem paying 260 for a quality product but is that the best price out there or is there any suggestions for another ss that's just as good?

afe is the cheap sts. The mazdaspeed one has a longer throw and costs a lot more.
only way you're getting it lower is used, and they sell almost instantly. So be prepared to wait a long time unless you buy new.

the afe sts is made by afe, and is sold by them. It's not like you can get them off ebay from china or anything. The only alternative I'm aware of is the MS sts and it's got a longer throw and costs more.

Power!!
Well actually Hymee sells them as well in Australia but I doubt that is cheaper.
As far as warranty is concerned, if you chew up your synchros most likely the dealer will not warranty it because you have a short through shifter. Anything else should be fine. Basically they are required to prove that the modification specifically caused the failure to your car. So if your engine goes they have to warranty it unless they can prove that somehow your shifter caused the failure.

Oh and Swoope is pretty sharp. If you'd have done a little searching you'd have found a nice sticky at the top of the Aftermarket Performance Modification section that explains all this and you'd have known the answer without having to ask us.

AFE is the best place you'll get it unless you can find one for sale used on this site.
