I'm thinking the number next to your class is the PAX index, which is the the percentage of the raw time that will count as your PAX time. It's suppose to equalize the cars, so you can beat some other guy in say, a modified vette. Looks like they rank it by the PAX time. So even though the guy in front of you has a slower raw time, since he has a lower PAX index, the PAX time ended up quicker than yours...Hope that's clear enough. Maybe some of the more experienced racers can help out if I missed anything.

You got beat by a Scion TC, I think you're the one that needs to explain that.

The last poster is correct. They are using an index to equalize the cars (slower cars have a smaller multiplier).

These are the "magic" Pax numbers. For some reason they gave you a SM index, do you have a turbo?
The good news is if you car fits in BS you would move up one spot.

Better lose the hood or buy the turbo. I am guessing it is not a real carbon hood, must be fiberglass with the carbon cover to weigh more than stock. Just put on your stock hood and cover it with the carbon look vinyl.

Go to a junkyard and buy a dinged up OEM hood for track day. Better than getting beat by a Scion.

Don't worry man, many people who find autocross for the first time have modifications to their cars that screw their opporuntities to be in a competitive class. I have the MS body kit, and am forced to race in SM as well....but people are nice at the local events and allow me the opportunity to play in BSP.

Why the heck did he get put in SM instead of SP? If the hood is all he has, then isn't that where he's supposed to be?

no body mods allowed in S or SP.....body mods allowed in STU (with street rubber) and SM with street rubber or R-compounds.
