Is this bar for mounting or guiding?

Do you think the horizontal bar on this cage simply there as a guide for harnesses, or to actually wrap them to for mounting? It seems to me it should be welded if you were going to wrap harnesses around it.

Okay, I see what you're saying, now. I really don't know what proper procedure for a roll bar like that is. For a roll cage, it would be attached directly to that bar, as you suggest. But this harness bar is bolt in, which is kinda sketchy, but that's what it is there for. I would rather have the harness tubing welded in.

Is it removable so that the rear seats can be used? I would think that the rest of the bar would prevent that, anyway...

Do you have the website for whoever makes that bar?
thanks

http://www.autopowerindustries.com/Roll_Bars.htm and access to the back seat is why it's a bolt it. The OEM seatbelt waps around a bar that is just bolted to the car FYI.
