Anyone need rains?
I have a set of 275/35-18 Hoosier Radial Wets that I need to sell. Barely scrubbed in, stored in tire bags, mid 2008 build date, $500.
PM if interested.

just one tire shown...they all look the same

Learn me some rains
OK, maybe a dumb question, but since Mike's trying to sell something I may need I have a rain tire noob question.
I have run in the rain several times - always on my standard dot r tires and never had an issue. The tires were always surprisingly sticky - even in the wet.
Also, (and this is WAY self serving) I need some new street tires anyway. Why not use a set of streets as rains?
I assume you're all going to say, if you want to compete with the big boys you'll need rains, but how much difference is this $500 going to make?

It depends on how deep the standing water is
the difference between winning and losing at the National level
i'll wh0r3 in on the Mustang turncoat's thread and post that I have a similar set of 255/40-18 speed rated Hoosier R rain tires available too

Whether Mark's tires or mine, for the money, I wouldn't go to Lincoln without them, after the experience I had my first year back at Nationals. You spend so much time, money and effort that to put yourself out of all hope of contending (if it rains) over $500 seems silly.
Tires are sold, I picked them up from Mike this morning. Funny thing is that I saw this thread but didnt contact him through this forum.
