Who did you get to mount them? I have a set of 265's in the garage and so far, no one has been able to mount them on the OEM wheels.

Are they trying to mount them or are they just telling you they wont fit and not trying? Find a tire shop that sells and mounts race tires.

It was a race shop that tried, along with a couple of other places as well. The consensus was that the sidewall is just too stiff to allow the bead to ride up and seat on the wheel. I thought about polishing the inner surface of the wheels to induce more slip so that the tire could seat. They have managed to get the inner bead partially seated, but never the outer bead fully seated so that the tire could inflate. BTW they are P-0 Corsa's, a DOT "R" compound.

To tell you the truth, the local Firestone here did them. They took extra care and extra time to do them, but the guy was great. He said they use animal lard to lubricate it and seal the beads.
