^I agree with you. But I also feel there is a difference between breaking the rules, and intentionally breaking the rules to make your car faster/handle better/ weigh less...

If I take the side skirts off, logic says I will just be faster

Don't let those BMW's win tomorrow

Is that Ruggles car, or Fossum's?

Good luck

Ruggles autocross his own car?

Nice job Jay and Jim! Awesome time by Jason sitting only a tenth out of first, considering he's hardly had any seat time in an STX car (thanks to me being MIA this year). Good luck to them tomorrow!

Wow! That is some tight competition...I sincerely hope the STAC/SEB leaves STX the heck alone...no Suboyotas need apply.

STX looks GREAT this year

Tom, you should've come out. I think it was one of the warmest temps I've ever seen at Dixie and the grip seemed very good this year.

I left a lot of time on the table. First day I think I should've been 0.5 sec faster. (Based on my comparison with STR and ES times). Couldn't improve on my first run time for some reason. Seems to be the issue with my driving at NT events lately. Second day I got faster each run and had a pretty decent 3rd run, but I had a cone in the slow area over that bump. So dumb of me for hitting that, I was well in control of the car and was just careless. My 2nd run time was my fastest clean time on Sunday(which was a little over 1 sec off of Darrin's STR time I think.)

Dat, I would have loved to be there.

Unfortunately we are in the process of moving from Hickory to Atlanta and although the car was on the trailer Saturday night, it and the 4Runner were full of household items along with a couple sets of race tires.

Ironic that we now live closer to the event and I still couldn't make it work :-(

Next year for sure!

Sorry for the artifacts on some of the footage. Video card is on it's last legs.

Congrats to Jason and Jim, and thanks for all of the support from the RX-8 community!

I had a great time . The courses were good, but I preferred the Sunday one little more. Mainly because I wish I could have driven better on Saturday, but main goal was to just enjoy and drive hard, which I did more so on Sunday. Trophy is just added bonus. It was also good to meet other competitors in the class. STX appears to be a great class.

Oh, and watching Darrin and David drive the Miata at the limit was sure fun to watch on the course. Great to see Miata taking STR win!

Congratulations for the great driving guys. Lots of lead changes, and only 0.4 seconds between first and fourth after two days. Must have been a fun weekend.

Great driving out there Dennis, as well as Jim and Jason. I just couldn't get the flow of the course and my times showed it. I look forward to seeing you at Zmax!

This weekend was a great first event for the season. Although Team missed the race due to mechanical issues it was still a great event. Too bad we did not get to bench race between heats and talk RX8 mods and such. Also I was pitted next to Micheal, I was rude and did not introduce myself. sorry.... Good job to all the RX8 top finishers.

I need to bring the 8 out of retirement and have fun with you guys!
