Yes, but unfortunately we will be fighting for the slots behind the Honda Civics.

Should have one more in STX. Mike Wood will be be codriving with me for Nationals.

Well, at least this is the last year those pesky Civaks can poach STX...

Mark, you just tell me what temp you want the tires, I'll get 'em there...plus or minus 5 degrees, of course

If this heat wave continues I may have to ditch you

Assuming we have tires, I'm getting a bit nervous about the delivery delay to TireRack

Dang...I hope I don't have to find out how negotiable "non refundable" tickets and hotels really are!

You talk to Chris or John at TR?

There is always that AS FRC from Socal. That was going to be my ride this year, but funding other projects (both time and money) became more important - that and we start building another car next week, because we needed to build two new racecars simultaneously.

Steve's car can get it done. Based on what I have seen from that class this year it is still ripe for the picking. So long as you don't run after the walk break.

well I suppose you had to be here experiencing continuous daily 111 degF temps to appreciate my sarcastic humor, but if he wants to switch rides that's his choice

Nope, no desire to jump cars...I'm looking forward to co driving with TeamRX8.

111 is waaaaaay too hot...that's hotter than the last event we co drove, up at Mather...the day I was puking between runs, just from being overheated...I hate it when that happens

I was fortunate that our local Discount Tire sponsor was able to secure me a set of 255/40-17 Hankooks with the help of a good friend. On top of that they also shave them at this store and gave me the best shave job I have ever seen. A lot of other people are still sitting on backorder for their Nats tires .... I could probably rent my wheels and tires out to someone with an S2000 in STR for big bucks if I was willing to chance the wear ...

Have you run this size Hankook before? I know you previously tried the 255/35-18 and 265/35-18.

I've found the taller sidewall on the 255/40-17 Hankooks to be very forgiving at the limit.

Good luck at Nats. I'll be routing for you and the handful of other RX-8 folks in STX.

Tom, good luck to you and Jay! You both have been driving so well this year and I know you'll do great! Jason is an outstanding co-driver. Just make sure he doesn't break anything on your car. He's got a history with Chris Harvey and me, just kidding, well only half kidding!

I wish all of you guys in CS and STX good luck! I'm really going to miss being there, but I'm sure I'll be checking SoloLive constantly and cheering for the spinning doritos. Drive fast!
