Lol, we'll see what happens today. Dropped the back end 1/2" to lower the rear roll center. This also added rear camber which I'm not using the full inboard rear tire tread width so combined with lower rear air pressure should provide a bit more rear contact patch. Also added some rear toe-in and am heavy on fuel. The only potential negative is I'll be close to the rear bump stops, which will be more of the same if I get onto them. Thought about pulling the bump stops off, but there are a few high speed bumps here that made me not want to risk slamming the rear shocks and potentially blowing them out.

Derek Punch outclassed everyone in STX to take the win by 1.5 seconds, KJ brought the RX-8 home in 2nd, Honduh Civic 3rd.
I had a bit more control today, but still way loose everywhere. Needed more grip or a stiffer front bar. Will have both in El Toro next weekend.

KJ, congrats on the trophy!
I haven't seen any official results yet, but was able to follow some results via other sources. I've heard that ulllose won AS, Bryan H won CS (in an MX5; not sure where Brian C ended up), Jennifer Isley won CSL, and the last I heard, mwood was still leading FS. Congrats all!
Dang, I was having withdrawal pains all weekend.

Congrats to Mike on the FS victory and Jason the AS victory and Jennifer with the only RX8 victory.
The new CS numbers look like this after 3 Tours:
........2008.....2009......2010
........BS+CS...BS+CS...CS ( top 3 )
DIXIE.....20......15.........11 ( RX8,RX8,RX8 )
TEXAS....13......10......... 5 ( MX5,370Z,MX5 )
SD......... 21......23........10 ( MX5,ZOK,BOX )
At this early stage the participation is down but the diversity is up.

Awesome job by KJ, his continued development of the SportsCar STX RX-8 package (version 2.0), it is really coming together. He has made some changes to better suit him and it is really paying off, staying ahead of Berry and being the quickest RX-8 is a great accomplishment.
And no doubt he will get faster, as I know he is down on power from our original build, and is good bit heavier.
Big thanks to Coulson to for letting Jennifer co-drive his car, made my weekend completely effortless.

I was taking photos from the top of the hill when Jennifer ran on Sunday. She was wringing out the RX-8 for all it was worth. Very fun to watch and listen.

Saturday's photos are up: http://www.pbase.com/bryanh/sd10sat
Sunday's coming soon.
Far fewer RX-8s compared to last year.

Bit late on the link here. Sunday's pictures are up if you haven't noticed.

Further rotary content: this guy was driving the snot out of his FD. With lots of body roll and 4 wheel drift action it looked like a hoot.
