2008 40th anniversary question
Hi everyone, I've been lurking here and shopping for an 8 for a few months, and along the way decided that autocrossing sounds like a blast. My concern is with the upgraded shocks on the 40th anniversary. Would that bump me out of stock class? I didn't think it would, but thought I'd ask.
Also, I think I remember seeing that those shocks have a special bracket that won't fit others? I'm worried if I get really into the sport, the 40th anniversary might be a bad choice for me.
Thanks for the help. I'm currently not much of a car guy. Everything I know about suspenstions (not much) I learned on this site and still have a huge amount of stuff to learn.

The 40th is legal for stock class, now C-stock for SCCA autocross. Stock class, its a preparation level, it doesn't mean all OEM parts. The shocks were part of an option package that were factory installed so you should be good to go. Even if you were to change the shocks, those are one the few allowed modifications in stock class so as long as the spring perch is in the same place on the replacement shocks. The technical details will come later, more importantly buy the car and go to an event, and welcome to a new addiction.

Sorry for the probably annoying question, but I'm pretty clueless right now and don't want to regret my purchase in 2 years.
Thanks for the input everyone.
