I how in the hell did I miss the last event. I could have sworn the July event was at the end of the month. Then I go on CSCC web site today just for ***** and giggles and see that it was yesterday!!! I still cant belive I missed the event. (Keith will be happy) but WTF!?!?!?
(Ithought it was the 22nd to be exact)
I am so pissed

I even had it on the first post of this thread correct. In my mind it was at the end of the month.

Casey, all I can say to you is... duh! We were wondering where you were.
The course was a lot of fun, if not a bit heavy on the slaloms. I pretty much drove like ***, so I won't put all the blame on my crappy tires

back from the honeymoon. A month in Europe may have been pushing it a bit...boy, are we glad to be home.
Yeah, I had a severe migraine the morning of the June event/wedding day. Was trying to get myself to puke all morning by running back and forth, shaking my head....but no luck. Cesar was co-driving my car....and he comes in from his first run and I go to check the pressure on the first tire...but then as I stood up, I guess I moved to quickly.....that was all I needed. I handed Casey the tire gauge and ran to the guard rail......blaaahhhhhhh. Boy, I feel better. Still couldn't see out of my left eye. I tend to lose my vision, in one, or both eyes when I get a migraine.
I most likely got it because of stress. I was worried for about 2 weeks about having a migraine on my wedding day....and trying to figure out how I would deal if that happened.
I was really fast on my third lap.....and out of the corner of my good eye, I noticed a lot of movement from course workers ahead of me in the next section. I was proud of myself, for stopping and pointing. I should have kept going, but I figured since I was paying attention to them, I wasn't putting all my attention on course....and maybe I would do better on my fourth run. I was about 75% into the run.
I was rather excited about getting to do this....it kinda suggests to me I am improving. I can remember the first couple of times I saw downed cones...I just saw them way too late, but the indecision cost me time.

so Night of the living dead was pretty cool.
I showed up WAY to early as I wanted to walk the course in daylight and watch the prepared cars run. big mistake. the prepared cars were boring. (there was only one there that was worth a damn. and by the time we got to run it was 2:00 a.m. we didnt leavbe till 3:30
none the less I had a blast. I just wish I didnt show up till closer to 10:00
I placed 2nd in BSP. Arron with the supra showed up with some new shoes. he is now running the 275's all the way around on his car. and of course they were brand spankin new.
He beat me by something like .7 seconds.
EDIT: I am an idiot...
I ran a 48.954, what did you guys run?

Tom was in the 45's. I ran a 49.505, so I'd say you ran decent times. Unfortunately it wasn't quite enough to grab the 100 from me.

for some reason I was thinking 58.xxx and I knew they ran 45.xxx . but then I started thinking about it, and I was like "but that means Arron, Jesse, you, scotty... ect did THAT bad to... there is NO way..

Just signed up for this coming weekend's event at Fontana. BSP runs last, works first after lunch. Guess we get to suck up the noon heat while working, and then get to relax as the sun goes down for our runs.......
Congrats again on your national level win MP5. Jason is a fast name to have indeed.
Question at Ulllose. Should I purchase the used Koni's from Speeddemon? I'm not sure they will make much of a difference in my driving style. At this point, I'm not able to drive much quicker as I am still learning how to make good lines consistently around a course. Going faster just pushes me beyond my ability to adjust on the track. Were talking tenths of seconds here with the Konis...yes or no? This is not like the difference that we found going from street rubber to r-compounds...and then again when we switched from 245 to 285s with lite weight wheels. Thoughts?

I ran a 64.8xx on my 3rd run.
Run 1 my foot sliped off the brake and hit the gas. put me way wide in a turn. was slipping on the marbles.
Run two was awsome time considering I came damn near to a stop on the tight right. I even had to down shift. and then I messed it all up by braking to late and going off course. (I then came to a stop, then continued on.)

Did you spin on the 3rd run Jason?
Ran the event down here in the SE lot. Took another win in SS on a dirty course which was pretty boring with just a series of sweepers. Ugh, just realized the next 3 events are SE too.

Practice, Practice, Practice.... Tires, Tires, Tires.
you didn’t do to bad Jesse. I think that on that big *** course you shoulda been closer to us then you were.... but at least you were no further back then you normally are.
I agree with Lesper, you need to hit up some practice days. 16 runs DOES give you a chance to learn the track like the back of your hand. it gives you a chance to learn the course, then gives you a chance to try different things. Go in deeper, brake later, brake sooner, throttle on sooner, ... etc
Race days are fun because I like the competition, but practice days help a TON. not to mention you can have ride alongs to learn from the masters. When I get the miata I plan on doing a LOT more practicing!

I wonder if I did it in the same place as you.
when I DNFed it was right after the high speed slalom. (as your coming back up the hill for the second time). going into that right hander at redline, I simply braked to late.
