2005 national solo2 schedule
Well, the 2005 schedule is out, according to the registration forms available, these are the dates:
ProSolo
March 5-6 Fontana, CA
April 16-17 Atlanta, GA
May 7-8 Atwater, CA
May 21-22 Wendover, UT
June 25-26 Oscoda, MI
August 6-7 Toledo, OH
Tour
Feb. 26-27 El Paso,TX
Mar. 12-13 San Diego, CA
Mar. 19-20 Blytheville, AR
April 2-3 Houston, TX
April 9-10 Atlanta, GA
Apr 30-May 1 Atwater, CA
June 11-12 Toledo, OH
July 2-3 Peru, IN
July 23-24 Seattle, WA
July 30-31 Denver, CO
No tour or pro in the DC/MD area. WDCR doesn't want anything to do with running the tour again, and AI hasn't stepped up to the plate for running a pro. Seeing as how the first events within a decent distance for the east coasters isn't til April, I'll be putting off my order of tires for a little bit.

AI is working on a date. From another forum (Karen Kraus): "AI is trying to work out something for a DC Tour, at FedEx if DC Region will let us use one of their FedEx Field dates that fits in with National's schedule. If not, then we'll look at Ripken."
It doesn't matter to me. It's going to be 8-10 hr drive no matter if it were DC area or Toledo... and Toledo is a MUCH better drive traffic-wise.

As for AI wanting to use Ripken for a Tour... good luck. Unless they figure a place to put all the cars, there ain't no way. The lot is just too small.

Yeah. We could always run on the in-field. (I'd borrow a WRX for that tho...)
Looks like it's going to be:
SD Tour (Borrowed DSP ride/vacation), Toledo Tour, and the Toledo, Oscoda, Atlanta Pros for me. See ya'll out there.

Any East Coast RX-8 types who make the trip, make sure you drop by the red 968 and say hi. And hopefully witness said 968 lay waste to a field of RX-8s and 350Zs.
