Tonight was my first time running at the track EVER. I had a full tank of gas *oops* and had a ton of fun..my best run was a 15.1 @ 90 MPH. I'm hoping next wed. to bring it down to a 14 somthing..my worst run was one 15.7, but i got scared bc i was running againest a cop 5.0 that runs low 11s! eek! I didnt touch the tire preasure at all, but next week i'm going to lower it some..also, i noticed as i ran more, and the engine got hotter, my car kept running around 15.5...sad day for me. Oh well..next wed. I WILL reach 14's..

I have no issues filling up with premium gas when I am going to be driving the car hard. but its hard for me to justify filling up at $2.19/gal for a trip where I just burn the whole tank up on the hiway, on cruize at 75 mph.
I would definately use premium at the track next time, but I won't be looking for anything higher than 91 or 92.
Also, ya need to start with more than 1/4 tank, because the 14 runs burned through a little more than 1/4... who knows how far you have to go to the nearest gas station ?

Dammmmmmmmmnnnnnnn, 4 year thread revival. I'm with you guys on this one, I'm around 3.80/3.84 a gallon here in FL, I remember when it was just over a dollar about 8 years ago.

$4.14 here in Kansas City.
Those times seem aweful slow to me. It's been 4 years since I took my stock 8 to the track and I think I ran high 14's if I remember right.
