04 Dyno Results

I just got my 04 6mt 8 dynoed this morning and I wasn't very impressed but I wasn't disappointed either. My only mods are K&N short ram intake and Racing Beat Cat Back. I dont have a scanner so i cant post the graphs. sorry maybe when i get to school monday i can post them up...but here are the numbers...
179.2whp
135.9wtq
And my air/fuel ratio was hoovering around 12 which i think is normal.
The guy doing the dyno told me that he had done a stock 04 6mt a few months back and he got...
171.9whp
132.2wtq
So i figure i picked up about 8 whp with my mods. Not great but I guess pretty normal for the 8.
So do my numbers sound about right? The guy doing the dyno said he could tell that i needed new plugs and wires by how the car was pulling on the dyno.
Which is true b/c im at about 27400 miles and im still on my first set, i was planning on changing at the 30k maintenance. Im pretty sure i'll pick up a few hp from the new plugs and wires.

Corrected or uncorrected (for atmospheric pressure, temperature and humidity)? Uncorrected numbers are virtually useless (even more useless than corrected numbers from different dynos at different times).

They should have given you raw numbers, and numbers showing the equivalent for the standard temperature, pressure and humidity. Giving you uncorrected (raw) numbers, without normalizing for variables, is essentially worthless.

Mustang and Dynojets usually display corrected numbers

Dynojets usually indicate about 10% higher than a Mustang, but all dynos are not created equal as even within the same brand/model there are slight differences in indicated outputs

The printout for a Dynojet will say whether it's corrected or uncorrected.

youre car is fine man--new coil and plugs could possibly give you 10-20 more hp on the top end.

agree with OD if your peak hp is way below 8500 - that it is most likely a coils problem

pretty bold prediction given the lack of data to support it

There's no way you know if your mods made ANY HP. without a baseline run of YOUR car, there's a chance your mods REDUCED Your HP.

MY Car, on a dynojet, stock, made 186whp. That'd mean your mods 'cost' you a few ponies.

Get what I mean?

I was just making a PREDICTION since both cars were dynoed at the same place and were same year and had almost same mileage. Mine only with RB exhaust and K&N Intake. Maybe they did make me lose 7 whp.

I know it's a 'prediction' but what I'm saying is 'Don't predict if you're worried about accuracy.'

I've seen 7-10hp difference between like cars, on the same dyno, on the same day. That's all.

As far as the RB Exhaust? Count/hope-for 1-4hp, peak, gain. For the K&N? I think you'd actually be lucky to have not lost power. Not hatin'...just from my experience reading the forums.

Regards.
