First things first what year and and does the starter spin the engine slowly.
I just got my car back from the Dealer for the recall and they replaced my starter for free.
Told the service guy the engine was sluggish when starting and had a good battery, they checked the part number of the old starter and put in a upgraded one.

I checked some time ago about having 2004 starter changed on warranty or TSB and basically I would have to purposely flood it and go thru that procedure to get it swapped out. I don't want to do that, but I would love to have the newer one.

My car has never flooded, just made a mention of it to service manager that I heard there was a upgraded starter and mine was weak feeling. Tech checked it out and immediately ordered a starter due to part number change and TSB.
