WTB: Passenger Sun Visor

Naturally the first time I have ever pulled down that visor, a nice giant crack splits the thing around the arm that is holding it to the car, and therefore it won't stay up now. So, I need one, the condition isn't a huge factor, and if the light doesn't work that's fine, I don't ever use that one anyway. I'm this close from grabbing a chunk of velcro and keeping it stuck to the roof haha.

For the 100th time at least...........go to the dealer, there is a TSB about it and even after warranty is up, a lot of times they will do it for free. At least try that and be nice about it.

Here is the TSB.......... .http://www.finishlineperformance.com...02-07-1734.pdf .........print it out and take it with you.

Normally I would do that, as I'm under warranty, but I don't have the time, I'm at work when the dealership is open, and this is my only car, so if I can find one at a decent price I'd rather have it shipped here and install it myself.

I was poking around yesterday looking at stuff, and I saw the sunvisor either at www.rosenthalmazda.com or www.trussvillemazda.com
Check both of them out and maybe one has free shipping at the moment. I can't remember which site I saw it on, but they are usually the cheapest I have found when buying from an actual dealership.

Whoops.................just found out I was at http://www.mazsport.net/store/index....t_detail&p=240
when I saw it. Looks like $116.00

or you could PM topgear8 and see if he has one. He's got a lot of stuff and may have one??????

I's still take a half day off of work and go in to see if I can get it for free, esp. since under warranty, but that's up to you. They won't just give it to you as they make money from Mazda when the do the warranty work. They should be able to get you in and out in under an hour.

Good luck.

These are the worst part of the car. Why make something that is pretty much always in direct sunlight with glue that melts at sunlight temperatures.

my question is.... did they revise the visor or r they still putting the same crap one in there? MY passenger side broke and it was replaced under warranty, however, just the other day my driver side broke (the same way as the passenger side one) and im out of warranty. Now i was at the dealer for an o2 sensor that was out of warranty and my parking brake lever broke at the base which is a TSB item. They told me that it will not be covered so my assumption is that the visor wont be covered as well. Now if i buy a new visor... will it be an updated part or the same one which will break a little while down the road? If it is the same one, then maybe i should just try to fix it myself with gorilla glue? Has anyone repaired the visor themselves?
