Thumbs up WTB: M/T Conversion parts

Okay..

So i have a Type-E '07 A/T (JDM RHD) and my last drive to country a few weeks back really sent it home that moving from an EVO V -> A/T Rx8 was not going to be a long term thing.

This beeyotch is gonna be M/T & FI by the end of the year guaranteeed.

That said...

I need the following (please remember has to be RHD compat):

Engine harness - Part #F15167070H
Emission harness - Part #N3H31805ZJ
PCM/ECU - Part #N3ZD18881R0H
Powerplant frame - Part #F15139710K
Upper console trim - Part #FE0564430D02
Gauge Cluster

I have the Transmission, Driveshaft & M/C pretty sorted out already so that's y those arent in this list.
Newer parts will be preferred, please pm or reply with prices with shipping to '33122' or if poss let me know if you would international ship to Jamaica.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried trading your car with someone who has an MT and wants an AT? Probably easier to do, and cheaper for both parties. I guess since you have some parts already and are willing to do the work it shouldn't be too bad.

Good luck man.

You USA people always say things like that cuz you don't realize how the rest of the world has to deal with things...

but it's ok... it's all good

Well, trading it in is not an option, the car is not even available in my country at the Mazda dealership they only service it.. and they dont even do that well hence why i service myself.

So there's no 'waayyy cheaper' here... selling it however and making up the money and buying a new one would be way more expensive as I got this off an auction.

So my option is comprehensively limited to this.

We ship cars and small planes overseas all the time, its no big deal. Doing it yourself is a lot more fun though.

Where are you that you can buy an RX8 at auction for cheap, but cannot purchase or have shipped to you, another car of the MT variety? I'm kinda interested.

Jamaica. I want the rx8 in MT and i have big plans for it.

I just do not have an option to trade it in for a RHD MT without the extreme import duty charges.

Sometimes you gotta realize, everything is not as straight forward as the USA/Canada. Life sucks in most other places where this stuff is concerned.

Dude...you're living in Jamaica and you get to drive an 8 around. Sweet Deal.

Did you get a RHD for legal reasons, or it was just what was available? Are your roads similar to Virgin Islands (ie. driving on left side of road)?

As for where your parts come from, I don't think it matters if the donor cars are LHD or RHD, the transmissions and locations should be similar. Except for the obvious clutch, gas, and brake are located differently. Maybe the pedals are different for RHD...someone who knows should chime in now.

Good Luck
