I have your wire...
I bought the AudioLink iPod cable for my factory radio from Revolution Performance and then upgraded it instead. Nonetheless, I can sell it to you for say $90 even...that includes shipping (site sells for $124 + shipping.)
Let me know.
James.

Before you get to carried away with prices make sure they will work with your radio most of them you need firmware ver 9.55 or higher. I have a 9.50 6 disc bose with the "hack" if you are interested pm me

What is the best option for those of us with 04 radios? Anything available without having to swap out the radio or have to send it in for firmware upgrades?

NOTE: The factory headunit's firmware revision must be 9.55 or greater. The unit will not work on earlier firmware revisions or with 9.81 or 10.01. To find out which revision your Mazda RX-8 has, make sure the radio (FM) is turned on, then press and hold "TEXT." Then, also press and hold "1" at the same time for a few more seconds. The LCD should then report your firmware version.
NOTE: The AudioLink unit is not compatible with the integrated Sirius satellite radio module. Both this unit and the factory satellite radio module connect to the headunit using the same port, so only one or the other may be used at any given time. If you have the satellite radio, but do not use it, you are able to switch to the AudioLink with no problems.
