Tires: Hankook W-300 Ice Bears in 215/55VR17.

The tires have less than 5,000 miles on them and have never been rotated, so the rears have slightly less tread than the fronts. There is at least 8/32 tread on the rears and 10/32 on the fronts, and I think both numbers are conservative. I can figure out the exact mileage if you need to know. Wheels: 17" Mazda6 wheels.

The wheels have some curb rash that was touched up by the previous owner. From 10 feet away they look perfect, but if you look closely you can see that he liked to parallel park by feel. The touch up job was decent, but if you like (and I can find it) you can have my Sunlight Silver touch up paint.

Price: $425

This includes a bonus set of RX-7 spark plugs, suitable for use in your RX-8. I really don't want to ship them, so cash and carry only. I'd consider meeting you halfway, but keep in mind that my daily driver is now a Miata.

I WILL ALSO CONSIDER TRADES OF 16" MAZDA WHEELS FROM YOUR RX-8, 6, 3, PROTEGE, ETC. AS LONG AS THEY ARE IN COMPARABLE CONDITION TO THESE WHEELS AND WILL FIT, I'LL KNOCK $200 OFF THE PRICE.

what year miata do you have that they wont fit?.....i have an NC and might be interested if they fit mine

 

I also have an '08 NC.

I'm sure the 6 wheels would fit, in fact I think they are identical width and offset to the 17s on our cars. But the RX-8 sized snow tires are way too tall. 215/55 compared to 205/45. I'd guess they are 2-3 inches taller.

I considered just trying to sell the tires, but 17" snows in a small enough size for the NC are rare and surprisingly expensive. Which is why I'm here, and also why I'm looking for 16s for the winter.

OE mazda 6 are 215/50/17 in which and rx8 could fit 215/55/17??

If other people have tried them and fit I'll meet you half way to wayne and $400 is all I could do??

They are 215/55VR17, and definitely fit an RX-8. In fact, I used them on my RX-8.

OK, reddevilwarrior's dibs are now officially called off.

The wheels and tires are still available. I've also edited my original post and lowered the price. I need to either sell this entire set or sell the tires and re-use the wheels on my NC Miata.

That's about 8 hours and change from here, and it looks like there's basically nothing between us. To complicate things, my new car is basically useless for transporting a set of wheels & tires.

I was really hoping to not have to deal with shipping, but I guess it's not going to be that easy. I'm going to give it until this weekend to see if anyone is interested in doing a local pick up, and if not I'll start working on shipping costs.

Thanks for your interest everyone, but I'm going to hold off on selling the wheels for now. I'm having a lot more trouble finding a set of 16" wheels for my Miata, and the set I'm trying to sell is the same size as my stock 17s.

I'm hoping to get snows in an appropriate size for my MX-5 over the course of the next week or so, and I'll have the used 215/55VR17 Ice Bears posted on here around Thanksgiving weekend for anyone that may be interested.
